One of the best parts of playing a sport is the life-long friendships and bonds that come from it. During these unprecedented times, it's hard for students to find safe ways to continue to be social and build these bonds. The Lady Soccer team found a great way to connect, have fun, and stay safe all at the same time! They enjoyed a beautiful afternoon together at Patterson’s Fruit Farm in Chesterland doing a team-building scavenger hunt and painting pumpkins.
Lake Catholic Athletic Director, Sam Colacarro announced that
Ali Kazemaini had been named Director of Soccer Operations for the Cougars.
In his new role, Kazemaini will:
“We’re thrilled to have someone with Kaz’s reputation and skill set associated with Lake Catholic soccer” commented Colacarro. He continued, “Kevin Pitorik and Chris Hastings continue as the boys and girls head soccer coaches respectively. Both are looking forward to the opportunity to work with Kaz.”
“Lake Catholic has always had an excellent reputation for soccer, I look forward to assisting Kevin and Chris as together we take Lake Catholic soccer to the next level – a state championship!” said Kazemaini. He added, “You know this is a homecoming of sorts for our family. My wife, Shelly is an alum of Lake Catholic and she is looking forward to being back on campus.”
Kazemaini has a long a storied career in soccer and in Cleveland.
